The AED Executive Board
Grace is a senior in the College of Arts and Science at Boston University. She is in a duel degree program for a Bachelors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Masters in Biotechnology and will be graduating in 2014. She has been a member Alpha Epsilon Delta since 2011 and has been elected as President for the 2013-2014 academic year. Her future plans include eventually attending medical school, in order to pursue her interest in Emergency Medicine. She is currently involved with Boston University’s Unite for Sight chapter, BU Emergency Medical Services, and Student Health Services. AED is important to Grace because of the strong mentoring community it builds for pre-medical students and its commitment to expanding its community outreach.
Kumar is a senior studying Neuroscience in the College of Arts and Sciences. A future goal of his is to become a physician in order to help others. He enjoys learning and meeting new people. Kumar loves music and in his free time, he writes lyrics for his songs. He is actively involved on campus as a Dean’s Host and is a part of Global Medical Brigades, as well as other organizations. He strongly believes that AED is a community where the members can grow together academically, socially, and most of all, professionally.
Natasha is a pre-med Boston University senior majoring in Business Administration at the School of management and with a minor in Biology. She was elected as the Secretary for the 2013-2014 academic year. Her goals include taking a year off to hopefully work in a research lab or clinical setting and then head to medical school to pursue a career in endocrinology or psychology. On campus, Natasha is involved with Relay for Life, Colleges Against Cancer, 1001 Wells for Darfur, and Alpha Delta Pi. For her, the most fulfilling thing she has gained from AED is the mentorship from older students in the organization.
Sushi is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring biology and minoring in business administration. She hopes to get her MD/MBA and work in hospital administration. She is involved in Health Leads, STRIVE and Dean’s hosts and has been a part of AED since 2011. She believes that AED has been a great resource for connecting with other students at BU who share similar interests. It has lead her to a community of students who are passionate about their society and strive to make it a better place. For her, AED has been a wonderful forum for sharing ideas and a great support system for navigating the pre-health and undergraduate world.
Jennifer is a Pre-Medical Academic Advisor at Boston University. She works for BU’s Preprofessional Advising Office and has been AED’s advisor since 2010.
