AED is a group of individuals passionate about healthcare and dedicated to making an impact in our various fields. Our members are looked upon as leaders among pre-health students, and we welcome like-minded students to join us in providing invaluable services and mentorship to the pre-health population at Boston University.
Every year AED accepts applications for the coming academic year during the start of the fall semester between the months of September and October. New provisional members are inducted into the organization at the beginning of every spring semester.
The application deadline for the current cycle is:

Membership Requirements
Boston University AED is the Region V Massachusetts Gamma Chapter of the national Alpha Epsilon Delta pre-health honor society. There is a standard of excellence expected of our members, and we seek students who show individual commitment to academics and extracurricular activities, as well as those who show a willingness to participate in our organization. We invite any current sophomores, juniors, and seniors with an overall and science GPA of 3.20 to apply for membership in Alpha Epsilon Delta.
The requirements for application consideration are listed below:
The student must be a current sophomore, junior, or senior.
The student has a science and overall GPA of 3.20 or higher.
The student has submitted a typed and signed AED application to the Boston University Pre-professional Advising office on or before the application due date.
Application Process
Completed applications are to be submitted to the Pre-professional Advising Office on or before the due date. The Pre-professional advising office is located at:

Once all applications have been submitted, the AED E-board, along with the Advisor, will look over all applications and invite potential inductees for interviews. Following a successful interview and contingent upon maintaining a 3.2 GPA, new AED members will be given a probationary membership for one semester.
Probation Phase
Following the application process, new inductees receive a probationary membership for one semester. Full induction into Alpha Epsilon Delta is contingent upon participation in all mandatory events, including at least one social event and one service event. This period allows us to assess the dedication of our members to the honor society and to the larger community that we service. Induction will occur at the end of academic school year.
